This system consists of a standard GPS receiver (a Garmin eTrx is being used for testing, while the final design may incorporate a smaller, board-mounted GPS unit), as well as a Differential GPS correction receiver board.. This receiver board is tuned by the GPS receiver to the nearest station broadcasting medium-frequency DGPS corrections, and in turn sends the corrections to the GPS unit, enabling a reported accuracy of 1-3 meters..
