Keep in mind the official public holidays China has because 1.3 billion people will have holiday too what can cause some queues and possible production or transport delay!
Mainland China has 7 legal holidays in a year:
- New Year's Day,
- Spring Festival,
- Qingming Festival,
- May Day,
- Dragon Boat Festival,
- Mid-Autumn Day
- and National Day.
China official holidays also means the hard realization of so called making up days Saturday and Sunday! It is important that you know when you or you employee have to come back in the weekend. Also be aware that you should be able reach business in China during those make-up days!
Certain social groups also have some extra official holidays:
- 8 March (Thu): International women's day. 1/2 day off.
- 4 May (Fri): Youth day. 1/2 day off for youth between 14 to 28.
- 1 Jun (Fri): Children's day. Full day off for children below 14.
- 1 Aug (Wed): Army day: 1/2 day off for active military personnel.
