The Hotel  was the first contemporary atrium hotel in the world.  
 
Assistant Director of Engineering (2001-2008) 
Led  team  of mechanics, engineers, electricians and  support staff in  daily maintenance, repair and 
installation for 1,260 guest rooms, including bathrooms and guest floor corridors. Utilized exceptional 
management  and  engineering  proficiencies  to  analyze  daily  operations  and  institute  long-range 
technical  initiatives.  Created  and  implemented  short-  and  long-range  strategies,  policies  and 
procedures  to  maximize  effective  use  of  product  and  available  inventory.  Liaised  between  design 
and engineering staff to direct all phases of various renovation projects. Trained engineers to ensure 
timely  completion  of  projects  within  budget.  Proactively  handled  additional  duties  including  HLP, 
company payroll system.  
 
Selected Accomplishments: 
•  Spearheaded successful $25 million  renovation of  guest  tower, including upgrading fitness 
center,  replacing  outdated  equipment  and  liaising  between  management  and  vendors  to 
implement preventive maintenance program. 
•  Attained  CPO  certification  to  maintain  all  aspects  of  opening,  closing  and  maintaining 
swimming pool as well as fitness center. 
•  Actively  performed  ongoing  preventive  maintenance  for  issues  regarding  hotel  plumbing, 
carpeting, furniture, master antenna TV (MATV) and on-command video (OCV). 
•  Rewrote Preventive Maintenance Program for guest rooms and placed results on daily board 
for reference, integral to optimizing productivity and efficiency.
