UNITED STATES NAVY, 1988-Present  
Manager, Airframes Intermediate Maintenance, Fleet Readiness Center, Fort Worth, TX (2006 – 2008) 
Manage and coordinate team of 40 Navy/Marine Corps personnel across 9 work centers in conducting inspections, 
diagnosing issues, and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural components within aircraft (e.g. Boeing F/A-18 
& 737, Lockheed C-130 and P-3).     
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 
  Implemented and utilized Lean/Six Sigma Principles and Basic Theories of Constraint to generate 
reduction in Time-To-Reliably Replenish aircraft components from average of 21 to 16 days. 
  Increased repair capabilities and drove estimated annual cost savings of $450,000 by leading transition 
for team member to DEPOT-level Composite Artisan, coordinating training with Fleet Readiness Office and 
field personnel. Provided data to support Hydraulic Artisans, with estimated $900,000 annual cost savings. 
 
Director of Aircraft Maintenance, Fort Worth, TX (2000 – 2006) 
Held full responsibility for managing 12 work centers and 110 team members in repair/maintenance of 12 F/A-18 
Strike Fighter aircraft. Planned and scheduled maintenance (including offsite major re-work and overhaul), 
incorporated Air Worthiness Directives, tracked and scheduled High-Time Components replacements, conducted 
aircraft inspections, and updated Aeronautical Log Books. Informed relevant team members on aircraft status and 
readiness. Trained, mentored, and evaluated personnel. Oversaw detachment logistics, including personnel, 
transportation, and resources. 
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 
  Created and implemented short-term and long-range maintenance plans to maximize asset availability, 
leading to 74% increase in Full Mission Capable Status aircraft. Implemented an Aircraft Detachment Phase 
Program that allowed for additional assets while deployed, significantly reducing phase backlog. 
  Successfully completed 270 combat missions and 18,000 flight hours, achieving accurate delivery for 
220,000+ lbs. of precision-guided ordnance during high-tempo flight deck operation onboard the U.S.S. 
Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 
  Led efforts in alleviating problems with parts flow to and from geographically dispersed locations by 
implementing program in which supply personnel accompanied squadron on detachments, ensuring 100% 
component accountability, reduced parts turnaround time, and 90% Full Mission Capable Rate.
