Pursuant to the Notification No.1/2020 issued by the National Health Commission of
the People’s Republic of China, the International Health Regulations (2005), and
laws and regulations of the PRC including the Law on the Prevention and Treatment
of Infectious Diseases, we hereby inform you as follows, to prevent and control the
pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) with all efforts, cut off the
transmission of the virus effectively, contain the spread of the disease and protect
public health and safety:
All those coming from or by way of Hubei Province are required to have the
body temperature checked and fill in the accurate information in a Health
Declaration Form upon the arrival in Shanghai. Isolation at home or in
designated facilities is also required for 14 days following the arrival.
Isolation as well as other disease control and prevention procedures are mandatory. In
cases of any refusal to follow the procedures, the law enforcement agencies will assist
health regulators, medical institutions and disease control authorities in taking
enforcement actions by law.
