
VOCATIONAL SERVICE LEADERSHIP AWARD 
 
The Vocational Service Leadership Award  is an international award of Rotary 
International and recognizes a Rotarian who have made a significant impact in 
advancing vocational service, but do not hold a district or international leadership 
position.  
 
 
This award is a wonderful opportunity for your club to nominate a Rotarian who is 
actively committed to vocational service and may otherwise go unrecognized.  
 
Please note that only one Rotarian per district may receive the Vocational Service 
Leadership Award each year and Rotarians may only receive this award once.  
 
An individual may receive this award only once. Current, incoming, and past district 
governors, and current, incoming, and past RI directors are ineligible.  
 
Candidates must have exhibited significant support of vocational service by fulfilling 
each of the following criteria: 
 
  Exemplifying integrity and high ethical standards in their vocation and in 
Rotary;  
  Using their vocational talents to serve the community; 
  Personally undertaking at least one of the following:  
  Mentoring a young person to help that person succeed in vocational 
pursuits 
  Organizing a vocational service discussion or group workshop to 
inspire others to take action  
  Teaching other club members about their vocation by participating in a 
classification talk  
  Participating in a business networking event that introduces non-
Rotarians to the principles of vocational service  
  Implementing an activity to celebrate Vocational Service Month in 
October  
  Participating in another vocational service project that meets local 
needs  
 
Nomination must include the Members first and last name, Member ID and Club ID
