VOCATIONAL SERVICE LEADERSHIP AWARD
The Vocational Service Leadership Award is an international award of Rotary
International and recognizes a Rotarian who have made a significant impact in
advancing vocational service, but do not hold a district or international leadership
position.
This award is a wonderful opportunity for your club to nominate a Rotarian who is
actively committed to vocational service and may otherwise go unrecognized.
Please note that only one Rotarian per district may receive the Vocational Service
Leadership Award each year and Rotarians may only receive this award once.
An individual may receive this award only once. Current, incoming, and past district
governors, and current, incoming, and past RI directors are ineligible.
Candidates must have exhibited significant support of vocational service by fulfilling
each of the following criteria:
Exemplifying integrity and high ethical standards in their vocation and in
Rotary;
Using their vocational talents to serve the community;
Personally undertaking at least one of the following:
Mentoring a young person to help that person succeed in vocational
pursuits
Organizing a vocational service discussion or group workshop to
inspire others to take action
Teaching other club members about their vocation by participating in a
classification talk
Participating in a business networking event that introduces non-
Rotarians to the principles of vocational service
Implementing an activity to celebrate Vocational Service Month in
October
Participating in another vocational service project that meets local
needs
Nomination must include the Members first and last name, Member ID and Club ID
Please forward your nomination by E-Mail to the District Vocational Chair
Gavin Dallow at [email protected]
Nominations close on October 15.
