Good Staff are aware of the procedures for reporting incidents as required under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR)’ and are able to properly identify accidents and incidents which must be highlighted to the Safety Team for reporting to the Health and Safety Executive.. Additional health and safety information is distributed to staff through:  the staff handbook, which is a useful way to communicate health and safety policies, practices and procedures within the school  publications posted on the staff notice board  the staff shared drive.. Action recommended Electrical systems and appliances Portable electrical appliances Comply The portable electrical appliance testing (PAT) has been carried out by a competent person within the last year and defective equipment has been permanently removed or repaired and re-tested..
